UPDATE ON TONY MORENO'S SITUATION!

The father (Tony Moreno) is being arraigned tomorrow Tues. 7/21 @ 1 court St. Middletown CT. 3rd floor.

Is anyone going to the court?  We must Rally now to make stand about Parental Rights on Family court Judges.

Bring posters, flyers and all info about the damage that Family court Judges do to our children to hand out.

There should not be any more harm to the children in CT. by the monsters in Family Court.

They are the ones who cause the hysteria, not the parents looking for justice.

There are vigils going on everyday on the Middletown green for the family.

HARTFORD COURANT REPORTS: FATHER FRIENDLY CONNECTICUT FAMILY COURT ALLOWS A CHILD'S DEATH AND IGNORES MOTHER'S PLEAS FOR HELP!

Mother Of Baby Who Plunged Into River Feared For Child's Safety, Records Show!

Reported by Christine Dempsey and Shawn R. Beals with Chris Brodeur and Alaine Griffin assisting, all of The Hartford Courant report as follows:

"MIDDLETOWN — The mother of a baby police say likely died after plunging into the Connecticut River Sunday asked authorities weeks ago for a restraining order against the child's father because she feared for the safety of the boy and herself, court records indicate.

Crews began searching the river for 7-month-old Aaden Moreno late Sunday. The child's father, Tony Moreno, 22, jumped from the Arrigoni Bridge and survived, police said. He has not been charged.

Moreno's family called police about 11:45 p.m. on Sunday to say that he was threatening to commit suicide and that he had the baby with him, said police spokeswoman Lt. Heather Desmond.

Court records indicate there is an open child custody case involving Aaden's parents. The records show the baby's mother, Adrianne Oyola, applied for a restraining order against Moreno on June 17 because she feared for her child's and her own safety. Oyola wrote in the application that she and Moreno were happy until she became pregnant, but he began to verbally abuse, threaten and push her..."

PATCH REPORTS INDIANA STRIKES BACK AT CONNECTICUT!

According to Vincent Salzo of the Patch,

The state of Indiana has taken a swipe at Connecticut and Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, possibly in retaliation for Malloy’s strong criticism of that state’s controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act a few months ago.
Indiana took out a full-page ad in Wednesday’s Wall Street Journal, lending its support to Fairfield-based General Electric, along with fellow Connecticut companies Aetna and Travelers that criticized the state’s new business tax increases in the recently adopted budget..."

HUFF POST: TEN MEN WHO ATTACKED MALALA SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON!

The Huffington Post Reports as follows:

"An anti-terrorism court in Pakistan sentenced 10 men to life in prison on Thursday for the 2012 attack on teenage education activist Malala Yousafzai, the BBC reported.
Yousafzai was just 15 years old when she was shot in the head while riding her school bus in Pakistan's northwestern Swat valley because she angered the Taliban by publicly campaigning for girls' education. The attack, which drew international attention, also wounded two of her school friends.
Authorities said the defendants were all members of the Pakistani Taliban, ITV News reported."

HUFF POST: 92% OF KIDS POOR OR IN FOSTER CARE TAKE ANTI-PSYCHOTIC DRUGS FOR OFF LABEL REASONS!

According to Huffington Post,
"The release in late March of an alarming new report by federal investigators has confirmed in shocking new detail what has been known for years: Poor and foster care kids covered by Medicaid are being prescribed too many dangerous antipsychotic drugs at young ages for far too long -- mostly without any medical justification at all. The report by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Inspector General examined in depth nearly 700 claims filed in 2011 in five of the biggest prescribing states -- California, Florida, Illinois, Texas and New York -- and discovered that two thirds of all the prescribing with these popular and costly "second generation antipsychotics" (SGAs) raised high-risk "quality of care" concerns..."

CT MEDIA GROUP REPORTS U.S. SUPREME COURT REFUSES TO HEAR POLICE EXCUSES RE BOTCHED DRUG RAID!

Daniel Tepfer of the CT Media Group Reports as follows:

"The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear an appeal by the police departments of Easton, Monroe, Trumbull, Darien and Wilton who claim they should be protected from millions of dollars in civil rights claims arising from a 2008 SWAT raid that killed a Norwalk man and injured an Easton homeowner.
Wednesday’s ruling appears to clear the way for a federal jury to decide whether the police departments violated Ronald Terebesi’s constitutional rights when a heavily armed team smashed down his door, tossed stun grenades into his home and then fatally shot his houseguest, 33-year-old Gonzalo Guizan, as the two men were watching TV.
“This decision was a long time coming,” said Terebesi’s lawyer, Gary Mastronardi..."

Will this decision have an impact on the Ted Taupier case?  It sounds like a very similar situation.

HARTFORD COURANT REPORTS ROWLAND GETS 30 MONTHS!

Edmund H. Mahony of The Hartford Courant reports as follows:

NEW HAVEN – John G. Rowland, Connecticut's brash ex-governor turned radio commentator, stood again Wednesday in front of a packed courtroom and for the second time in ten years, was sentenced to prison for low rent political crimes, this time for 30 months.

U.S. District Judge Janet Bond Arterton said Rowland showed a striking disregard for the clean election laws while trying to conceal his role as a paid consultant to a 2012 Congressional campaign of Lisa Wilson-Foley.

"What is striking and disturbing is Mr. Rowland's total contempt for those laws which was made abundantly clear at the trial, including his shameless use of his radio talk show to advantage one candidate, Ms. Wilson-Foley and to disadvantage her lead opponent," Arterton said.

Rowland turned down an opportunity to speak. He is planning to appeal and insists that he is innocent.

CHIEF JUSTICE CHASE T. ROGERS OBJECTS TO MODEST BUDGET CUTS!

Apparently, the State of Connecticut's budget proposal's primary recommendation for the CT Judicial Branch is to dismantle the organizational and management infrastructure of its Court Support Services Division and place its various functions in multiple Executive Branch agencies.  For more information on this, see below:

THE HARTFORD COURANT REPORTS CT USES EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF SECLUSION AND RESTRAINTS WITH SCHOOL CHILDREN!

The Hartford Courant reports as follows:

"A 4-year-old boy identified with a developmental delay was physically restrained by school staff after he "threw (puzzle) pieces on the floor and across the room" while playing with a puzzle on a classroom rug.

An elementary school student was put into seclusion after "swinging her coat at staff."

These are among hundreds of incidents — deemed "emergencies" by school personnel — that warranted restraining and isolating preschool and elementary school students in Connecticut last year. A new report by the state Office of the Child Advocate raises "significant concern" regarding the frequency with which young children with autism and other disabilities are restrained or secluded; lapses in documentation or actual compliance with state laws; and the prevalence of "unidentified and unmet educational needs for children subject to forceful or isolative measures."

FRENCH SECURITY FORCES KILL GUNMEN IN CHARLIE ATTACK!

Yahoo News reports:

"PARIS (AP) — With explosions and gunfire, security forces Friday ended three days of terror around Paris, killing the two al-Qaida-linked brothers who staged a murderous rampage at a satirical newspaper and an accomplice who seized hostages at a kosher supermarket to try to help the brothers escape.

The worst terrorist violence France has seen in decades killed at least 20 people, including the three gunmen. A fourth suspect — the common law wife of the market attacker — was still at large and believed to be armed.

Al-Qaida's branch in Yemen said it directed the attack against the publication Charlie Hebdo to avenge the honor of the Prophet Muhammad, a frequent target of the weekly's satire."

JEANNETTE BOUGRAB, PARTNER OF CHARLIE HEBDO EDITOR, SPEAKS ABOUT HIS DEATH, (TRANSLATION IS IN THE BLOG BELOW IT)!

JEANNETTE BOUGRAB, PARTNER OF SLAIN CHARLIE HEBDO EDITOR, SPEAKS!

"The World Post" reports as follows:

Jeannette Bougrab, partner of slain Charlie Hebdo editor Stéphane Charbonnier, known as Charb, spoke about his death on French television station BFMTV.

The former French Secretary for Youth and Community Life described how she got the news that he was killed. "I was at a state meeting and I learned there had been a shooting. Then I sent him a text, a second text, third text, and then I phoned him and he wasn't answering, and he never did that," she said. "When I got there, there were the cordons, and we weren't allowed to get in, and I learned there that he was dead."

"He died standing," Bougrab said. "He defended secularism, he defended Voltaire's spirit, he in fact was really the fruit of this ideal of the Republic that we've almost forgotten. He died, executed with his comrades, as he would say."

Her words echoed Charbonnier's own. "I'd rather die standing than live on my knees," he said, quoting Emiliano Zapata, in 2012 after the paper's offices were firebombed.

Bougrab asserted that, if she were the president of the Republic, she would give all of the slain cartoonists the honor of being buried in the Panthéon, a monument in Paris where Voltaire and Jean-Jacques Rousseau are also buried. "They died defending freedom of expression, secularism," she said of the cartoonists. "They have died so we can stay free in this country, in France in 2015."

Bougrab is a member of the French Council Of State, and of Nicolas Sarkozy's UMP party. She served as the chair of the French Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination Commission during his administration. French newspaper Libération described her as a "hard secularist" in a 2013 profile, a daughter of Algerian immigrants who has been a fierce critic of religion, and particularly of Islam.

BFMTV's Ruth Elkriefit asked if it might be a kind of victory, a sign of hope, that so many people around the world are rallying around the slogan "Je suis Charlie."

"Absolutely not, because he's dead," Bougrab replied. "It's absolutely not a victory. It's a defeat. It's a tragedy for our country and I refuse to rejoice in the idea that people are demonstrating in the streets. Because they have torn away the precious being who accompanied me in life."

GOV. DANNEL MALLOY TELEVISED ANNOUNCEMENT OF NEW TORRINGTON COURTHOUSE!

GOV. DANNEL MALLOY ANNOUNCES PLAN TO BUILD $81 MILLION DOLLAR JUDICIAL FACILITY IN TORRINGTON, CT!

A May 27, 2014 press release from the Governor's Office relays the following news:

"(TORRINGTON, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the State Bond Commission will vote Friday on the final funding elements necessary for the new Litchfield County Courthouse project in Torrington.  He also released a rendering of the new facility and announced the formal groundbreaking will occur in July.

“Though it’s taken more than a generation, I’m proud that we could move this project forward and begin the necessary work of building a twenty-first century courthouse,” Governor Malloy said.  “By consolidating operations into one facility, we can save taxpayers time and make operations more efficient.  Many people in this community have worked for years on this goal.  We could not have gotten to this point without their tireless advocacy.”

The Judicial Branch has been working to construct a new courthouse for the Litchfield Judicial District for nearly 40 years.  The existing courthouse facilities in that district total about 39,000 square feet distributed over four locations.  For a variety of reasons, a number of court cases must be reassigned to other district courthouses due to the inability of the current facilities to effectively serve the Litchfield District."

That's what nearly 50% of residents would say if they could, according to a new
Gallup Poll.

According to Gallup, "These findings are from a 50-state Gallup poll, conducted June-December 2013, which includes at least 600 representative interviews with residents aged 18 and older in each state."

CRYING FOUL, PROTECTIVE MOTHERS GROUPS CRITIQUE DIVORCECORP MOVIE!

"Divorce Corp. [DC] is a film which exposes family court corruption and dysfunction, which almost everyone agrees with.

However, their hidden agenda is the promotion of Forced Equal Parenting [FEP] (otherwise known as presumptive joint custody). They are asserting that FEP is the solution to the corruption. The problem is that simply is not true. FEP will not end the corruption but it will harm children by forcing them to live in dangerous and abusive situations. [See:
The Truth About Equal Parenting]

They are also disseminating other misinformation to the public including that false allegations of abuse are supposedly common and judges are falling for them. This is also not true. It is a camouflaged way of saying what fathers' rights groups have been alleging for decades--that parents (usually mothers) are fabricating abuse because they want to "alienate" the children (usually from fathers). Hence the Parental Alienation Theory that has been so widely supported by fathers' rights groups which has caused hundreds of thousands of children to be given to abusers. [See:
The Truth About False Allegations]

DC is asserting that they are "gender neutral", but it is obvious from the fact that their misinformation matches fathers' rights groups propaganda, and the fact that Glenn Sacks, a leader of the fathers' rights movement is featured in it, that this movie is simply the latest strategy in the fathers' rights campaign. The age-old Trojan Horse war strategy is being used to sneak biased messages to the public which are harmful to women and children. There was no effort to cover women's and children's side of the story. To promote it as gender neutral is disingenuous at best."

TOLLAND PORNO KING, DR. CARL KOPLIN DISPUTES LIABILITY IN MURDER-SUICIDE!

A former doctor found liable in a 2009 murder-suicide is asking a state judge to set aside the verdict and order a new trial, alleging the judge improperly allowed testimony that harmed the defense.

A Waterbury Superior Court jury found former Tolland doctor Carl Koplin liable on Dec. 19 during a civil trial for the deaths of James Morrin and his wife, Alice Morrin. James Morrin fatally shot his wife in their Vernon home on June 29, 2009, after learning she was having an affair and more than two months after she filed for divorce, and then he killed himself, according to police and court documents.

IN 2013 ZERO APPEALS BY SELF REPRESENTED PARTIES CERTIFIED TO THE SUPREME COURT!

The Connecticut Law Tribune reports that in 2013 pretty much zero appeals by self represented parties were certified for the Connecticut Supreme Court.  Why are we not surprised!

"Of 49 pro se petitions filed in 2013, the grant rate was 0.0 percent. It may be that every single one of them lacked merit. But we wonder."
