What I found valuable about Lundy's remarksin this video is his statement that somehow popular cultural tells us we need to feel sorry for an abuser because he abuses. Yes, as Lundy says, we can feel sorry that an abuser has a cold, or a broken leg, but sorry for the ills an abuser brings upon himself as a consequence of his abuse--no. Well, I wake up this morning and have to face my day of fighting against my abuser. Getting this affirmation from Lundy is wonderful.
