"After getting the attention of A-listers like Kim Kardashian West with her international custody battle, Kelly Rutherford has the support of another major celebrity: supermodel Christie Brinkley. 

Brinkley, who endured her own bitter fight for custody of her children with architect Peter Cook, posted a goofy photo of the stars posing by a pool Thursday. 

"I'm using this fun picture to catch your attention to a serious issue that every good parent needs to be aware of," wrote Brinkley, 61. "The problem with our broken family / divorce court system and how the person with the slickest lawyer can wreak havoc on our children, their lives, and their future."

KELLY RUTHERFORD: DECISION WAS ALREADY MADE BEFORE WE WALKED INTO THE COURTROOM!

"Heartbreaking. Kelly Rutherford opened up about her heartbreaking custody battle in a new interview with Good Morning America on Friday, Aug. 14, telling Robin Roberts about her efforts to keep her kids, Hermes and Helena, in America, while her ex-husband Daniel Giersch wants them in Monaco.

"I walked into a courtroom where everything felt like it was already done. It was a done deal," Rutherford, 46, told Roberts of Tuesday's hearing, where a judge ruled that the children had to return to Europe to be with their father. "And his mother 

was sitting there with plane tickets, smiling, ready to take them. Nobody had heard our argument."

Rutherford and the German businessman have been engaged in a bitter custody battle since they split in December 2008, while she was pregnant with her youngest. The latest hearing was held after Rutherford refused to fly her kids back to Monaco last week as previously scheduled. Giersch then accused her of child abduction..."

KELLY RUTHERFORD ORDERED TO RETURN HER TWO CHILDREN TO THEIR FATHER!

A Manhattan Supreme Court judge today ordered actress Kelly Rutherford to return her two children to their father in Monaco.

The ruling came after Rutherford failed to send son Hermes, 8, and daughter Helena, 6, back to their father Daniel Giersch after they spent the summer in New York with the former "Gossip Girl" star.

"From the beginning I have said I will fight for my children," she told ABC News on Monday.

"Three years after they moved abroad with their father, Kelly Rutherford's kids have been ordered to return to the U.S. for another round in her bitter custody battle with ex Daniel Giersch – but the fight is far from over. 

Rutherford, 46, was granted sole legal and physical custody of son Hermes, 8, and daughter Helena, almost 6, on Friday so she can fly them back from Monaco for a California court hearing on June 15. 

It's a win for the former Gossip Girl star: In 2012,a judge decided that Hermes and Helena would live in Monaco and France with Giersch even though the couple shared joint custody because his visa had been revoked. (Giersch's team has not commented on the court order.)"

KELLY RUTHERFORD FINALLY GETS CUSTODY OF HER KIDS BACK!

TMZ reports as follows:

"Kelly Rutherford has finally won a battle in her 3 year war to get her kids back from her ex-husband, and on U.S. soil -- at least in a California court, but it reams to be seen if Monaco will honor the deal. 

On Friday a California judge granted her custody of 8-year-old son Hermes and 6-year-old daughter Helena. The children have been living in France and Monaco with their father Daniel Giersch since 2012.

The Califronia ruling only says Kelly has the right to bring the children back to the U.S. while the custody battle continues. The problem is, it's unclear weather Monaco courts will honor the California ruling.

Earlier this month, Kelly came on TMZ Live and told us Giersch had "habitual residents" status for the children ... meaning they could not be removed from Monoco."

THE PLOT THICKENS AS FRANCE REFUSES TO COOPERATE WITH MYSTIFYING CUSTODY ORDERS IN THE KELLY RUTHERFORD CASE!

"A few years back, I wrote a critique of the appalling miscarriage of justice inflicted upon "Gossip Girl" actress Kelly Rutherford in the custody battle for her children. Now, almost three years after her American-born kids were whisked out of the United States to live with their deported dad, the situation has somehow become even more surreal with a French court thumbing its "nez" at the U.S. court ruling that set it all in motion.

A quick refresher: Rutherford's ex-husband Daniel Giersch, a German citizen, was refused re-entry to the United States after a trip abroad. No one seems to know exactly why. People magazine reported he was accused of "dealing drugs and weapons," while an affidavit presented in the case accused him of fraud, but whatever the reason, he did something serious enough to immediately lose the right to remain in this country.

Somehow a California family court judge determined (over the objection of the lawyer representing the children) that their two American citizen kids, Hermes then 5, and Helena then 2, should get exiled too.

No, Rutherford wasn't accused of any wrongdoing. In fact, the judge agreed that Rutherford had been an excellent parent, but nevertheless felt that it would be in the "best interest" of the children for them to be in one place -- even if it was outside the United States -- rather than having them fly to see their peripatetic papa."

Actress Kelly Rutherford’s custody battle with ex Daniel Giersch continues.

The couple shares joint custody of Hermes, 8, and Helena, 5, but a judge ruled that they should live with their father in France. Kelly fought the decision, but last year a second judge refused to overturn the court ruling.

On Wednesday, Kelly’s children will have a hearing at the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan in front of three appellate justices. Lawyers will argue that a California family court had no authority to force the children to move to France with their father.

The case is unprecedented.

Kelly, who works with the Children's Justice Campaign to help modernize family court laws, shared her thoughts on YouTube, telling fans, “I just want to thank you for your support of me and my children. For those of you who have been asking, I’ll be in federal court March 18 to discuss my children’s basic human rights as U.S. citizens and their right to live freely in their own country. I believe that children are people too and they have a voice. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

UPDATE ON KELLY RUTHERFORD ON "SWEDEN WITH LOVE"!

"When actress Kelly Rutherford‘s children Hermes, 7, and Helena, 4, arrive at their mom’s home in New York City, they usually change straight into their pajamas, jump into their mom’s bed — with her two bunny rabbits and two kittens! — smother her with hugs and then beg her to cook a delicious meal. “They’re like little monkeys!” says Kelly with a laugh. “All they want to do is cuddle up and talk about how much we love each other. Even though it’s incredibly hard to be separated, this situation has given us a whole new level of connection. They know we’re going through this together.”

 

What Kelly is referring to is her much-publicized custody battle with her ex-husband, a German businessman. Two years ago, the case took a shocking turn when his U.S. visa was revoked. Kelly, who has joint custody and wants her children to have a close relationship with their father, offered to fly with them to France every school holiday and summer breaks until his visa had been restored. But the kids — who had lived primarily with Kelly since birth, were attending preschool in New York and had never spent more than two consecutive nights away from her — were ordered to leave the U.S. and live in France."
