Catharine Sloper, author of the Divorce in Connecticut blog, has been nominated for the People of Courage Award on the website "Poetry Curator."
This award is given out to individuals who have overcome daunting hardships and made it through.  People nominated for this award are not only survivors, but overcomers. They are advocates and activists who have often overcome abuse, trauma and/or adverse childhood experiences in their lives and are living to tell about it and choose to share their experiences and educate others.
