This sliding scale will not correct any of the abusive practices of GALs and AMCs that inspired SB 494 or the Public Law that resulted therefrom. It will still be legal for Sandra Lax and those of similar ilk to inflame situations then bill $300,000+ to deal with the mess they themselves have created. They just need to find a family with enough assets. The judges and the judicial branch are a CAUSE of this problem. The thought that they should be delegated the power to create a "sliding scale" to solve it is just plain stupid.
