According to the Hartford Courant:
NEW HAVEN - Federal law enforcement officers, struck by what they called the persistent criminal behavior of government officials in Connecticut, said Wednesday that they have created a multi-agency, federal task force to fight public corruption in the state.
U.S. Attorney Deirdre M. Daly, who announced the task force and whose office will run it, said graft has become so pervasive in Connecticut that it is "discouraging and troubling" and a "persistently present problem."
She also questioned the legislature's refusal to provide local prosecutors with effective crime fighting tools. "High profile government corruption persists in Connecticut," she said, "So the time is opportune for us to put together a top notch team."

This is notify you all out there - Catherine as well, please - that as of about only three weeks ago (today is July 4th, 2015) the 1-800-CALLFBI push 6 "for information about reporting Public Corruption in the State of CT" no longer exists. 'Push 6' refers to outstanding Fugitives, whereas for at least the past year, and certainly since this current year's US Attorney Task Force mad known its concerted and alleged diligent effort to solicit 'Citizen Assistance' insofar as same was splashed all over the papers, this website, and the Internet.
ReplyDeleteSo what gives behind this sudden change?
Can anyone comment, and Catherine, can you yourself investigate or seek answers as to what happened with 'push 6' and where the US Attorney's Office in the State of CT stands on this...given they were presumably the proponents of soliciting this information towards the Task Force enforcement announcement in the first place? Please also Profile this change on your website. I believe it's pretty key.
As of this time, I cannot comment on the above information. It would be interesting if anyone else has any further observations, however, or new information. I'm sure what is taking place will eventually become clear in the long run.
