IMAGINE IF FAMILY COURT WEREN'T ABOUT WINNING OR LOSING, BUT ABOUT DOING THE RIGHT THING! LET US LEARN FROM THIS STORY ABOUT SPECIAL OLYMPICS!

OLIMPIADAS ESPECIALES

¨Listo, ahora vas a ganar¨...

SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Some years ago, in the Olympics for people with disabilities in Seattle , also called Special Olympics , nine participants, all with a mental handicap , lined up for the start of the race of the hundred meter dash .
At the signal, everyone left , not exactly fired , but wanting to give their best , to finish the race and win the prize .
All except one boy who stumbled on the floor, fell and started rolling and moaning ...
The other eight heard the cry , fell over and looked back.
They saw the boy on the floor , stopped and returned , All !
One girl with Down Syndrome , knelt , kissed him and said :
¨ Ok, now you're gonna win ... ¨
And all nine linked arms and competitors walked together to the finish line .
The entire stadium stood up and at that time there was not a single pair of dry eyes.
The applause lasted several minutes , the people who were there that day , repeat and repeat that story to this day.
Why? ...
Because deep down , we all know that what matters in this life , rather than winning, is helping others to overcome , even if it means reducing the step to change course.
Because the true meaning of life is that ...
ALL TOGETHER LET'S WIN ,
Not every one of us individually ,
Hopefully we may also be able to slow the pace or change course to help someone at some point in his life encountered and needs help to continue.
I think we need to decrease the step to change course and especially that this is not an individual , but collective project
among all sure we can ...
