In the words of the Commission itself, the following is what the Commission does:
"The Judicial Selection Commission seeks,
evaluates, and furnishes the Governor with a list of qualified candidates for
nomination as new judges.
The Commission also interviews judges seeking
reappointment and/or elevation and evaluates the judge on legal ability,
competence, integrity, character, temperament, and any other relevant
factor."
